Design

The mirror-image, S-shaped curves that form an ogee pattern can be traced back to the tomb of an ancient Persian king. Merchants that traveled the Silk Road, trading textiles woven with the ogee design, introduced the pattern across the Middle East and eventually to Southern Europe, where it was used in elaborate damasks and brocades. In Rajah, the ogee damask design was produced as a digital wallcovering with a technique that recalls the artisanal quality of a woodblock print.
