An adult's retreat inspired by a European-themed local Chicago bar
The Challenge
With ample room available on the upper floors for their young children, our clients decided to turn the vast basement space into an adults’ cocktail lounge and bar. A long corridor leads past the guest bedroom and bathroom to a very long rectangular room with a wet bar at one end and a fireplace at the other.
The Solution
We separated the long room into three sections: a comfortable lounge anchored by the fireplace to the left, a dining area with a bar height table to the right and a cocktail lounge in the center. As you round the corner and enter the long basement hallway, the cocktail lounge comes into view as a prelude to this fun grown-ups’ lounge.
