A new suburban spec home gets a dose of personality!
The Challenge
When a developer builds a spec home, he tries to be as neutral as possible to appeal to the broadest range of buyers. So when we’re handed over that blank canvas, we can’t wait for the fun to begin! Our clients weren’t shy about infusing their personality into this project, but they needed help defining their style and breaking out of their safe zone.
The Solution
Textures, patterns and bold colors come together to create a sophisticated yet playful home for this young family. Existing furniture was reworked to sit next to new custom pieces, millwork was modified and added to complete the living room, and a playful vintage-inspired wallpaper makes a bold statement in the powder room while the serene master bedroom provides a calming retreat at the end of a busy day
