The Challenge
10 years after we did the initial remodel, our clients had a flood in their basement. They decided to wipe the slate clean and redesign the basement to cater to their growing family. The children, who were infants when the original design was executed, were now approaching their teens and spending more time with their friends in the basement.
The Solution
We created a teenage hangout space with a comfy sectional and ottoman, perfect for lounging, A closet under the stairs was opened up to create a desk nook for our clients’ daughter, who loves crafts. Commercial-grade carpet tiles create a gradation of pattern from the lounge area to the hallway leading to the new workout room.
