We have very exciting news here at Urban Source. We are introducing a new indie studio- Prillamena!

Prillamena is a studio close to our hearts because it was founded by one of Urban Source’s own, April Noga. After being a staple in our showroom for years and running the marketing for our independent studios, she has branched out to launch an indie studio of her own.

April Noga is a Chicago based artist and designer.  After graduating from The School of the Art Institute with an emphasis in surface design, she began to look at home décor as the perfect platform for her pattern designs.

Her work is rooted in hand drawn patterns, watercolors, and traditional printing processes such as; shibori, marbling, and screen-printing.

April has been designing patterns for years. But just this past spring she decided to team up with her partner, Tyler Tassone, to put her patterns into production. Prillamena now offers it's first full line of home décor textiles, called the Studio Collection. Each pattern offers 5 colorway options and is printed on organic cotton sateen.

Their aesthetic is a unique blend of fresh colors and intricate lines, with just a hint of hand drawn whimsy. These textiles are soft and lightweight, making them perfect for drapery, pillows, and bedding.

Prillamena prints all their patterns in the USA on organic fabrics, using water based inks, and ensuring that all of their production materials are 100% vegan.

We love that they ensure their products are environmentally conscious and made with care.

In addition to their Studio Collection, Prillamena also offers a range of one-of-a-kind products. Using marbling and shibori techniques, April and Tyler hand print specialty textiles. These prints are then made into custom pillows and wall hangings. Because of the nature of these processes, no two prints are ever the same.

We will be debuting Prillamena’s Studio Collection at the West Town Art Walk.

Stop by and check out these patterns in person!

Also, during the Art Walk we will be selling Prillamena’s one-of-a-kind pillows and wall hangings. Don’t forget to stop by the showroom to snatch up your favorite pillow or print before it sells out!
